Subwoofer structure mainly includes the following parts:
Box design: There are three main types of subwoofer box design: closed type, bass reflex type and bandpass filter type. The closed speaker is completely closed, simple in structure, good in transient response, but has a low low-frequency dive frequency; the bass reflex speaker has a high efficiency and a deeper low-frequency dive through the bass reflex tube design; the bandpass filter speaker combines the advantages of the first two designs, with higher efficiency and deeper low-frequency dive.
Driver unit: Subwoofers usually use large-caliber drive units, such as 12-inch or larger speaker units. These units can produce stronger low-frequency effects, and common ones include imported 12-inch bass units.
Circuit composition: The circuit composition of the subwoofer includes key modules such as pre-amplification, low-pass filtering, phase correction, power amplification, safety protection and power supply. The preamplifier further amplifies the subwoofer signal output by the AV amplifier; the low-pass filter is used to filter out high-frequency signals to ensure the purity of the bass effect; the phase correction adjusts the positive and negative phases of the subwoofer according to the system connection requirements; the power amplifier is the core of the subwoofer to ensure high-power output; the safety protection circuit protects the equipment from working safely under abnormal conditions; the power supply provides power for all circuits.
Other components: The subwoofer may also include components such as radiators and controllers. The radiator is used for heat dissipation, and the controller is used for volume adjustment and power on/off operation.
