Working principle of full-range speakers

The working principle of full-range speakers is mainly based on electroacoustic conversion, and its core lies in the working mechanism of the speaker unit. When the audio electrical signal is input into the speaker, it is first processed by the amplifier to enhance the voltage and current of the signal to ensure that it can drive the speaker unit. Subsequently, this enhanced electrical signal is transmitted to the speaker unit, which contains a diaphragm and a driver. Under the action of the electrical signal, the driver will drive the diaphragm to vibrate, and this vibration will generate sound waves, which will propagate through the air and are eventually captured by the human ear and converted into sound perception.

The difference between full-range speakers and crossover speakers lies in their frequency coverage and processing methods. Full-range speakers use one speaker unit to cover the high, medium and low frequency ranges, while crossover speakers separate audio signals of different frequencies through a built-in crossover and then transmit them to the corresponding speaker units. The design concept of full-range speakers is to use one unit to cover all frequency bands. This design makes full-range speakers particularly outstanding in mid-range performance, but the performance of high and low frequencies is limited.
